Printing Bingo Cards

Most people have played bingo at one time or another. It's a simple game, very easy to learn, not requiring of expensive or specialist materials, and can be a lot of fun for people of all ages. The main thing that you need to play the game is of course a bingo card for each player - these cards simply contain a 5 X 5 grid of squares, with each square containing a different number, and the center square usually marked as "Free" or "Free Space".

One thing that you may not have considered however is that bingo can be easily adapted to different circumstances. There is absolutely no reason why you have to use bingo cards containing numbers. The squares could contains words, phrases, or even math problems, and thus by adapting the game in this way, it's possible to play themed versions of bingo on holidays such as Christmas, July 4th, or Halloween, or to create educational versions of bingo suitable for classroom use.

Quite a number of teachers are in fact now using bingo in their classrooms. The game has been adapted to many different subjects, including K-12 reading, science, math, history, English, and foreign languages such as Spanish, French, German and Italian. Additionally, bingo is also quite a popular activity in English as a Second Language (ESL) classes.

Of course if you want to play these variants of bingo, the main requirement is to get bingo cards printed with the items that you want. You may not be able to buy these ready-made, but even if you can, they can be expensive. However there is a solution: simply print the bingo cards on your computer, with the help of some bingo card maker software.
